Mohamed Sulaiman Labat (“Mo”) is a translator and internationally known artist from Smara, Western Sahara. His work, ranging from photography to calligraphy and beyond, has been featured in multiple films and books. For examples see: Life is Waiting: Referendum and Resistance in Western Sahara (2014) by Iara Lee and Settled Wanderers: The Poetry of a Landless People (2014) by Mohamed Sulaiman and Sam Berkson.

Tiffanie Hardbarger Ord (“Tif”)– is an Instructor in the Cherokee & Indigenous Studies department at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK. As a citizen of the Cherokee Nation and an scholar in the field of sustainable community development. Her interests focus on community and cultural sustainability, especially the use of arts and culture in resistance and resurgence.
